![]() Yeah but the above was a story mission and introduction to the mechanic. Maybe i'll be waiting more than a year or so for X4 to not only be fleshed out properly, but be made properly. ![]() This games' missions were made so terribly and i'm surprised they're still so, messy. Not "hand-holding" either, but if you're going to make a mission that's convoluted and/or messy, you may want to provide some basic info on how fundamental mechanics work. The funny thing is, the ship you're supposed to board from only has a back turret that won't shoot at the Vidar either way, even with you manually controlling it or setting the rear turret to attack enemies then using any of the attack commands, and if you jump into your main ship to keep shields low - you have to repeatedly fire a single weapon when shields are low to reset to 0% while you quickly issue the board command remotely from the boarding ship, but then, it seems to currently weird out and deploys marines from a bit of a distance away which makes only 3 of the 10 make it within a close enough window of time from eachother to board and start the process i guess, which then eventually fails from only having 3 marines attempt it.Ībsolutely 0 feedback or information provided. you're apparently meant to have to look up the fact you have to keep shields under 10% to board and then you're supposed to initiate boarding while keeping the shields under 10%. ![]() Like the current boarding mission of the Vidar i'm trying to do. It turns out you don't actually need the ship for the next mission or so, unless they changed/fixed it since people were talking about it online. Some weird info getting around online and the missions don't really explain the important parts. I can try that, i guess fly up to the big ship with it while having my main one follow me, to get the quest to tick over and plant the tracker then get out and get in my main and try escape the spawn (instead of safely jumping) but i dont think that's what was intended and will probably ruin the mission line as mentioned, when the XL blows.Īh fair enough. The whole thing is apparently it has a jumpdrive so when you take it to the next ship to get close to and track, you can jump away as enemies spawn and then need to use it in whatever the next mission or so is. (as well as taking a ton of time to repair being an XL, out int he middle of nowhere) when you get it low and can capture it, it says to get in it and if you get out says to get back in before continuing and is down to 20% - 30%, so it wouldnt last long as a distraction and then i saw people online having problems continuing the mission line once it got destroyed for them. Apparently you need the caiman in the next mission or so too, so it cant get destroyed.
